This evening Michael Palin will be turning on the lights in Shepherd Market W1 – a very pretty little enclave just off Piccadilly.At 54 The Gallery there is a show of small paintings by some of the best artists in London (although I say it myself).  There are some extremely affordable pieces which would make a very special Christmas present.
