Just back from One to One Session 4 at Apple Covent Garden. Now our entire library of images, mainly paintings is on my new computer.
When I think back to how expensive and difficult it used to be – either get professionally taken trannys ( maybe £25 ) or do them yourself on 35mm. You had to take the painting to the photographer and collect it – then you’d only have the one copy which you had to give to whoever it was who wanted to reproduce your work. Often it never got returned, so then if you’d sold the painting that was it – all a lot of hassle. Now with wonderful Apple, all the images are here – all I need to do is email them and I still have another copy!
Never thought I could be so enamoured by a computer.
Reblogged this on Mrs Potts the Painter's Wife.
It’s great but you need to keep a copy as well just in case the computer goes down. Also…it takes a lot of memory so best to have a separate hard drive on which you can store a copy. Either that or on the ‘cloud’. Sometimes I make discs and store those as well.
Now you have your images how about going online and creating a book on sites like Blurb.

Thanks Charles – how are you doing work wise at the moment?
